A novel data fusion technique for imaging devices

Abstract — The paper presents a complete system for building an improved picture with greater high dynamic range by using different pictures of the same scene acquired under different exposure settings. The image data fusion is achieved by merging the original data weighting each single contribute on pixel basis by suitable data function. Experiments confirm the effectiveness of such approach.
