Noise and Nonlinearity
William F. Egan · 2003
Noise and nonlinearity interact in two ways. The system performance limitations produced by spurious products and noise combine to define a spur-free dynamic range and nonlinearities produce spurious spectrums from noise bands. Moreover, densely packed signals (FDM, CATV) can be approximated as noise and the theory that quantifies spurious noise bands can also predict the density of spurious responses to these signals.
