Progress and prospects of hydrographic surveying technology in China

During the last decade, significant advances have been made in the study of hydrographic surveying technology in China. This paper gives an outline of recent progress in the fields of survey equipm ent, inform ation acquisition, data processing, data management, basic survey theory and their applica tions. The future development trends are discussed and presented.
