Real-time Traffic Monitoring System based on Image Processing

This paper proposes a real-time multi-vehicle detection and tracking system. The camera calibration is carried out to obtain the projection equation from the image plane to the real world. Experimental results demonstrated that the vehicle tracking and counting are possible as well as calculating the speed of the vehicles.
