Fairness enhancement in wireless data multiplexing by packet segmentation

This paper proposes the combination of packet segmentation and a polling scheme for data scheduling to overcome unfairness in a mobile radio TDMA system. A comprehensive study of the impact of segment size and source characteristics on the performance of this scheme has been carried out.
