Leader Election Protocols for Radio Networks

Chapter 10 surveys recent protocols on the leader election problem in single-hop, single-channel radio networks. Radio networks are a distributed system with no central arbiter. Each station is able to hear a transmission from any other station. The time is slotted, and all transmissions occur at slot boundaries.
