A comparative System Analysis of research tendencies in an important area of Chemistry, namely Understanding Of Chemical Reactivity, in several countries, and based on oral interviews of a representative sample of researchers (chemists, physisists,...). A key-word data base describing concepts, methodologies, themes, techniques.... has been analyzed through several mathematical tools of multi-imentional data reduction techniques (factorial analysis, automatic classifications). The results appear in the form of factorial maps, minimal spanning trees, dendograms, etc... and show: -national structures for the present and tendencies for the future - international comparisons of research trends and specificities
