In a project where IT need is identified, we ask ourselves what’s the ideal solution to implement: should we build the solution or does it take a ready-made solution? Specific development or software package? We must determine the decision criteria to consider when choosing between these two solutions. First of all, by realizing a state of the art, we have managed to identify key themes existing in terms of development specific and software package. With the mission at Schneider-Electric, we can observe a different approach. We saw the process developed, the issue of management, and the arguments, constraints and benefits that we could identified. Finally, in order to establish a process to follow, we analyzed the various decision criteria and decision making.
