Optics is offering the ultimate processing speed of light and complete parallelism. Programmable optical array/analogic computer (POAC) is one advanced optical cellular neural networks (CNN) implementation. This work reviews the previous contributions of POAC and provides an optical template library as micro operations for this parallel optical processor
