A DEDICATED SINGLE-CHIP signal processor for the 32Kb/s ADPCM CODEC according to the CCITT Recommendation G.721, has been implemented with 2.5~ CMOS technology. Although the CCITT standard ADPCM system is expected to double the transmission capacity of a conventional PCM system, no hardware implementation for commercial use has been reported to date
