Erik Wesslen · Purdue e-Pubs (Purdue University System) · 2011
There is great need to scientifically identify whether playing games in stereoscopic 3D adds value to the player experience. Knowledge of the outcome would allow companies in the electronic entertainment industry to make better decisions on how to approach their three dimensional offering strategies. The purpose of this study is to analyze whether or not playing a game in stereoscopic 3D increases the perception of immersion by using real world dissociation as a metric for immersion.
