Software Reliability and Recovery Techniques

Martin L. Shooman · 2002

Chapter 5 introduces software development and software engineering, and defines software errors. Reliability theory is reviewed and models for remaining number of software errors and software reliability are developed. Measurement of the model parameters and prediction of software reliability and mean time to failure (MTTF) are given for three different models. The chapter concludes with rollback and recovery techniques.
