THE TOPOLOGICAL BOOTSTRAP
Geoffrey F. Chew · University of North Texas Digital Library (University of North Texas) · 1981
The general bootstrap idea is that all aspects of nature are determined by the requirement that they be consistent. An approach to the bootstrap idea is described in which local space-time is not a conceptual starting ingredient. The starting idea is a notion of elementary event, with a past and a future but not embedded in a continuous space time. Topics covered include entropy and the topological expansion, spin and electric charge, the quantum surface, topological supersymmetry, electroweak interactions, space-time, and accessible and inaccessible degrees of freedom.
