SummaryWe use partial evaluation to speed up an already efficient ray-tracer by specialization with respect to part of the input. The ray tracer was implemented in C and specialized using C-Mix, a partial evaluat or for the C programming language. The resulting programs run up to three times faster than the original program on the same input.
