Blind zero-forcing identification for deterministic input signal
Zhiyong Xu, Boon Poh Ng · 2002
The concept of "zero-forcing (ZF) equalization" is broadly employed in communications communities. Since the received signal is the result of the emitted signal convolving with the channel impulse response, and the convolution operation is commutative, there must exist the concept of "ZF identification (ZFID)". In this paper, we investigate a second-order statistics (SOS)-based deterministic blind ZFID method for finite impulse response (FIR) channels driven by a shorter unknown sequence in wireless communications. Derivations and simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method can mitigate multipath distortions with relatively simple implementations.
