Information systems approach to discrete event simulation
Michael L. Schneider · Annual Simulation Symposium · 1980
When discrete-event simulations require large amounts of information for the simulation or its analysis, existing techniques are difficult. This paper describes a technique based upon a layering of interfaces from the classes of servers, through the queues to the items. Queue restructuring is easier and descriptive languages become possible.
