Securing Automobile Architectures
David Liaigre · 2013
Electronic systems have become indispensable in the automotive field and the number of features using electronics continues to grow. Whether for reasons of environmental standards, passive or active safety or customer requirements/ expectations, the complexity is growing. This forces manufacturers and suppliers to adapt by standardizing architectures and by establishing a standard defining the state of the art with respect to safety. Safety concepts tailored to the automotive field are consequently implemented and adapted to the level of safety that must be assured. Mostly, the main types of safety concepts applied today in the automotive field will be compatible with International Standards Organization (ISO). The global targeted safety concept must be known to choose the most pertinent solution. Controlled Vocabulary Terms automotive engineering
