Systemability Theory and its Applications
Hoang Pham · 2013
This chapter discusses an approximation systemability function in the field environments using the Taylor series expansion. Numerical comparisons for systems with and without considering the field environments as well as systemability approximation are given to illustrate the results. The chapter presents several systemability results and variances of some system configurations such as series, parallel, and k-out-of-n systems. It also presents numerical examples for a system’ s operating environments and then compares the results where the failure time of a system follows loglog distribution. One of the application of systemability theory is red light camera system which captures an image of a vehicle which has entered an intersection against a red traffic light.
