This paper describes the first IEEE 802.4 standard compatible 5/10 Mb/sec Token Bus Carrierband Modem Chip. It employs novel digital receiver and demudulator techniques. The bipolar circuit has a die size of 36 mm2 and is mounted in a PLCC 44 package.
