Workshop on Visual Perception: Computation and Psychophysics Held in Chatham, Massachusetts on 14-17 January 1993

David C. Knill, Whitman Richards · 1994

The workshop brought together researchers in computational vision and psychophysics to discuss ways of conceptualizing and modeling problems in visual perception. Such a conceptualization requires common frameworks for formulating problems in perception. Workshop participants considered what formal tools and structures these frameworks should provide in order to be most useful for the study of human vision. Several recently proposed frameworks based on the formulation of Bayesian, probabilistic inference served as the focal point for evaluation and discussion. Vision, Perception, Computation, Psychophysics, Bayes, Probabilistic inference.
