Workflows are getting a more and more pervasive concept for modeling arbitrary activities. The resulting workflow definitions will convey knowledge how and when to apply the right procedures. Whenever innovative, experimental or explorative tasks have to be fulfilled, however, workflows will evolve to previously unknown structures.
