Chapter 23 reviews multicasting protocols for wired networks, cellular networks (characterized by a fixed infrastructure with mobile end nodes) and ad hoc networks (infrastructure-less mobile networks). In a multicasting problem, a message is to be sent from a node to several other nodes in the network.
