Computations in Parallel

I shall try to elaborate in a few examples, the desideratum of having machines which perform simultaneously and independently on many channels simple arithmetic and logical operations. I want to discuss briefly the advantages of such a system compared to the now prevailing computers which do their work in series. I shall content myself, in this chapter, with a discussion of the uses of such machines without going into technical schemas of their nature and characteristics. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
