A Social Networking Model of a Web Community

We propose a model to represent closeness between entities within Web communities and social networks/folksonomies conceptually and numerically, and a community dynamics notification algorithm. The proposed models add value to community environments supporting social networking, and are specifically applicable to the community-driven environments, where users create and share their vocabularies. We also show how this model can be applied within real-world use cases.
