In this paper the Integrated Monitoring and Control System (IMCS) is described in terms of the philosophy of ship's management, the actual platform control using the IMCS and some aspects of its realisation. The concept of operability also plays an important role. Next the electrical power supply system is described. The machinery and equipment for generation, distribution and conversion is described, and the choice of components following the specific naval requirements and the load table is explained. Special attention is given to naval requirements regarding electromagnetic compatibility and redundancy.
