This paper reviews the different features of the Microsoft operating system called Vista. Using the beta version called Vista Ultimate, the authors tested the system's user interface, security, Web browsing, search, and networking capabilities. Despite the absence of the long promised file system called Windows future storage (WinFS), the Vista appears more seamless and elegant, and is significantly faster with a more intuitive navigation. It also demonstrated improved security, network capability and robustness.
