Distributed parallel priority arbitrator

A maximum of 2/sup n/ communication nodes, connected to a common communication bus, can engage in priority contention resolution for the communication bus by placing n priority bits on n arbitration bus lines connected in common to all of the communication nodes. This article gives and discusses the logic diagram for an arbitrator circuit; one such circuit is used for each node.
