Automated manufacturing test is a necessity in order to compete in the 80's. Testing the power system of a Disk Peripheral product is traditionally done as a result of performing a functional test of the product. It has been proven that if the power system (including power supplies, power distribution, backpanels, etc.) can be tested, and stressed before testing the final product, that a large savings in total test effort will result.
