Developing Distributed Applications
Mark Easton, Jason King · Apress eBooks · 2004
With the vast array of GUI libraries discussed in the previous chapter, .NET is an excellent tool for developing desktop programs, many of which can run on a single computer without a care about the external world—a perfect example of digital agoraphobia. Nonetheless, .NET also contains a broad set of classes that makes it excellent for developing applications that have their logical intestines spread across a network, and it is this class of application that we discuss in this chapter. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
