In Chap. 5 we were concerned with the problem of estimating the mean of a certain distribution. Assume that \({X}_{1},{X}_{2},\ldots,{X}_{n}\) is an i.i.d. sample of the distribution of interest. Let μ be the mean of this distribution. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
