Abstract. We describe the software environment that has been developed for the management and support of planning missions in the SAR domain. We have chosen to develop a configurable environment that simplifies the decision making process to the RCC staff. We also discuss the relation of this project with the Knowledge Management activities, especially with respect to the functions of knowledge creation, compilation, dissemination and application. We consider SARPA as a valuable tool that facilitates the organization to pursue the goals of success and efficiency. 1
