Definition of Danger Signal in Dynamic Materialized View Selection with Cloud Method

Due to the increasing size of data warehouses it is often infeasible to materialize all possible aggregate views for Online Analytical Processing. View selection, the task of selecting a subset of views to materialize based on knowledge of the incoming queries and updates, is an important and challenging problem. In this paper, danger signals used to determine the dynamic view adjusting time. We use the concept of Cloud model to abstract the character of parameters of database system, and consequently present the definition of danger signal. Integrate various danger signals the definition of danger is got.
