RESEARCHS OF PROCESSING THE VLBI DATA BY SOFTWARE

In the traditional VLBI, data pre-processing is usually performed by a hardware correlator. With the development of computer in recent years, it is possible to process the huge VLBI data by software. This paper presents the current situation of the software correlator over the world and the correlator mathematical models. Then, the methods to choose the parameters and the modification of the mathematical models in the software are introduced in detail. Besides, The probability of increasing the software processing speed is analyzed.
