This paperdescribes the service components of the two main servicescenarios that were chosen for the project and the tools thatwere necessarily required to be developed and used in theApplication Production Subsystem for the development of theservices.I. INTRODUCTIONA key to the success of mobile communication in the futurewill be the availability of attractive services for the end users[1, 2, 3]. Mobile data/multimedia services can only reach thepopularity of today’s mobile voice services if there areaffordable services for the mass market. Today, there exist avery limited number of multimedia services over digitalmobile communication networks whilst on the other hand,digital broadcast services (TV, radio, data broadcasting) overdigital broadcast networks has existed for a considerabletime. These two worlds are starting to move closer togethersince there is a growing demand for interactive multimediaservices for large mobile user groups, as shown in Figure 1.
