NEC SX-3 Supercomputer System

Tadashi Watanabe · 1993

The NEC SX-3 supercomputer system is a high-speed and large-scale supercomputer system employed multiple vector pipelines and multiprocessor configurations. The system realized a machine cycle time of 2.9 nsec by employing high-speed 20000 gate VLSI chip with 70 psec switching speed and high-density packaging system. The SX-3 supports the Super-UX operating system based on the AT & T System V UNIX and the vectorizing and parallelizing Fortran compiler. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
