The fifth conference in the series Beyond The Standard Model was held in Balholm, Norway in April, 1997. These proceedings contain papers presented at that conference. The program covered the most exciting areas of physics beyond the standard model, including neutrino masses and mixing, dark matter, future colliders, Tevatron upgrades, LHC, NLC, new developments in QCD, electroweak symmetry breaking, strongly coupled WW sector, dynamical symmetry breaking, origins of flavor physics, Fermion mass patterns, supersymmetry, superstring and supergravity boundary conditions and constraints, heavy quark physics, CP violation, new physics through t quark, exotic particles, baryogenesis and quantum gravity. The talks were of a very high quality. There are 63 papers compiled in these proceedings, out of which, 13 have been abstracted for the Energy Science and Technology database.(AIP)
