User-centred design : The application of the LUCID interface design method

The Logical User Centred Interface Design (LUCID) method aims to provide a user-centred environment through which not only is usability enhanced but, with respect to identified criteria is actually maximised. This paper describes the method, discusses the key design and implementation issues and is illustrated by descriptions of a number of implementations.
