Blasphemy in a secular state: a pardonable sin?

The New South Wales Law Reform Commission, in 1992, issued a Discussion Paper on the State blasphemy law continuing a decade of investigation into blasphemy laws, adding to recommendations previously made by the Law Commission of England and Wales in 1985, and by the Australian Law Reform Commission in 1992. Although the case for the abolition of the blasphemy laws is a strong one, it has still met with little success.
