Pseudo-dichotomies and its use in simultaneous state minimization and state assignment

The objective of this work is to introduce a discussion about the simultaneous state minimization and state assignment of finite state machines. In this work, the pseudo-dichotomy concept is evaluated in its capacity to provide a unified framework, useful to represent the set of constraints corresponding to each of the problems. The discussion is based on the development of examples.
