Different Flavors of ADO.NET

Mahesh Chand · Apress eBooks · 2002

In previous chapters, you saw how to use ADO.NET in Windows Forms, Web Forms, XML, and Web services. In this chapter, I’ll show you how to write database applications utilizing the power of stored procedures and views. In this chapter, I’ll also show how you can use unmanaged data access technologies such as ActiveX Data Objects (ADO), ADO Extensions for Data Definition Language and Security (ADOX), and ActiveX Data Objects Multi-Dimensional Library (ADOMD) in managed code with ADO.NET. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
