A general purpose electronic analog computer plays a very important role in the present day engineering industries. Although it is not as popular as a digital computer for its accuracy nevertheless because of its speed of computation it has a special position in the field of computation. This paper attempts to introduce this machine. A brief description of the various linear and non-linear computing elements is given. The use of the machine as differential analyzer and simulator has been discussed giving special emphasis on the amplitude and time scaling techniques.
