Trusted Computing and its Applications: An Overview

Klaus Kursawe · 2004

Since two years, the term „Trusted Computing“ has caused quite some controversy in the media, on the Internet, and even in the German Parliament. In spite of all that attention, surprisingly few people actually know what Trusted Computing does, what the benefits are and where the problematic issues lie. This paper provides a high level survey explaining the concepts behind trusted computing, highlighting some of the use-cases and finally addressing some of the problematic issues. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
