Using Functional Grammar to Teach Academic Literacy Skills to Adults with Language-Related Learning Difficulties
Virginia Stuart-Smith · The Australian Journal of Language and Literacy · 2003
A user-friendly program to teach Functional Grammar has been successfully used with an adult with language-based learning difficulties in order to improve her writing and critical reading skills for tertiary education. The program could also be modified for use with non-native speakers of English and would also have potential for use with children, both with and without language difficulties.
