M-valued sequential cellular networks

Complex behavior in sequential machines can be achieved by either a large number of simple connected machines or by having a complex machine to start with. Our primary interest being with the former we have tried to get systematic decompositions of a n-state asynchronous sequential machine into a network of identical m-state asynchronous sequential machines.
