Remarks on Form in Architecture and Music: Preliminary Questions

H. Isben Önen · Univers · 2010

The relationship between sound and space is a physical reality. Indeed, sound requires space to be heard. This reality, as in each case where human existence is involved, gets entangled with questions, manipulations, interpretations and re-constructions, and thus becomes complex. This complexity is not only a function of the curious intermediary relationship of the mind as manipulator or questioner, but also of the mind as a creative entity — capable of creating both sound and space. To be more succinct: designed sound requires a designed space.
