Consider small nitrogen rejection units

The economics for small nitrogen rejection units (NRUs) deserve special attention. Currently there are many natural gas wells closed in due to unusually high nitrogen concentrations in well gas. Such wells are unexploited since total inerts are above specifications, liquids removal produces a residue gas with too low a Btu value, or because the price penalty for removing nitrogen costs too much. while there are a number of nitrogen rejection systems that successfully overcome these problems at high feed rates, their complexity is usually thought to prohibit their use as small units.
