The University of Michigan at TREC 2002: Question Answering and Novelty Tracks.

this report is NSIR, a QA system being developed at the University of Michigan. NSIR uses a fine question taxonomy (2.1), extracts candidate answers along with nine features (2.2), and ranks the answers (2.3). We will show the architecture of the NSIR system (2.4). The official results from TREC will be provided, and we will also discuss how we plan to improve the performance of NSIR system (2.5)
