Managing information by a new compound noun analysis

In this paper, we address the problem of indexing compound nouns and describe a new way of decomposing compound nouns into component nouns which needs no syntactic or semantic analysis, no index size overhead and no special decomposing rules. The proposed method can increase the recall rate without sacrificing the precision by allowing restricted transitivity among component nouns in a compound noun. The proposed method is especially effective at indexing documents in agglutinative languages.
