Program Structure: Compound Statements, Blocks, Subprograms
Günther Lamprecht · 1983
In chapter 3, we explained how a sequence of statements can be united to a so-called “compound statement” by means of the key words BEGIN and END. The sequence then works as one single statement. We made use of this fact in later programs, e.g., for the control of loops. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
