Region plug-ins, as you may guess, allow you to create your own region types in APEX. Before APEX 4.0, if you wanted to create a “custom” region you would need to create a PL/SQL type region that would generate all the content for your custom region. Region plug-ins take a similar approach, and also provide an excellent declarative and supported framework for managing custom region types. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
